In March, Palm Beach County celebrated Florida Bicycle Month with enthusiasm and community involvement. Powered by DDEC and FloridaBicycleMonth.com, the initiative aimed to enhance bicycling safety, accessibility, and education across the state. Founded by Uyen Dang, PE, DDEC is a transportation planning and engineering firm that helps local governments achieve their transportation objectives by creating connected, safe, and inclusive communities.

200K Impressions: The campaign reached over 200,000 individuals through social media, television, and events, raising awareness about bicycling safety and accessibility.
28 Proclaimed Cities: 28 cities, including West Palm Beach, Boynton Beach, Wellington, and Boca Raton, officially recognized March as Florida Bicycle Month, promoting a culture of cycling.
20+ Events: The month featured over 20 events, from night rides in West Palm Beach to Weekend Trail Treks in Boca Raton, offering diverse opportunities for cyclists to engage.
Bicycle and Scooter Safety Checks: Three events provided safety checks for bicycles and scooters, with over 30 bikes receiving tuning and maintenance services from volunteers.
Podcast Miniseries: Royal Court Studios sponsored a podcast miniseries, showcasing discussions and stories related to biking in the region.
$50,000 In-Kind Contribution: This included over 250 hours of DDEC staff time devoted to promoting Florida Bicycle Month in Palm Beach County.
