Engaging Hallandale Beach: 8th Ave. Complete Streets Project

At DDEC LLC, we believe that great urban design starts with listening to the community. On October 15, 2024, our team had the privilege of hosting a vibrant community engagement event for the City of Hallandale Beach’s 8th Avenue Complete Streets Project. The event, held at Ingalls Park from 2-4 PM, brought together over 50 residents of all ages, creating a dynamic atmosphere of collaboration and creativity.

Our carefully crafted engagement strategy yielded impressive results:
Diverse Participation: We successfully attracted a wide range of community members, with a notable turnout of families and young residents.
Interactive Displays: Attendees explored visual representations of potential street designs and meaningful discussions about the future of 8th Avenue.
Youth Engagement: We incorporated elements specifically designed to engage younger participants, resulting in valuable insights into their preferences for safe cycling infrastructure.
