The Village of Palm Springs recently hosted a successful Touch a Truck Event where residents got a first look at the exciting new Village of Palm Springs Mobility Plan. The event, held on February 8th, brought together community members, families, and local business owners to learn about upcoming transportation improvements that will make our village more accessible and safer for everyone.
The Village of Palm Springs Mobility Plan includes 11 miles of protected bike lanes, 14 miles of new sidewalks and curb ramps, and 49 miles of traffic-calmed streets. Residents can look forward to 9 miles of Complete Streets projects that will feature new crosswalks, wayfinding signs, shade trees, and transit improvements. The plan specifically addresses community concerns about traffic speeds with proposed safety measures including speed reduction features and enhanced pedestrian crossings.
