This week, the Business Development Board of Martin County (BDBMC) hosted its annual Martin County Business Award Luncheon, honoring the outstanding companies and individuals driving innovation, growth, and community impact across the region.

This event, hosted by William Corbin, Executive Director of BDBMC, brought together business leaders, local officials, and members of the board to celebrate the achievements that continue to strengthen Martin County’s economy and quality of life.
A Historic Milestone: Martin County Turns 100
This year’s ceremony carried special significance as it coincided with Martin County’s 100th anniversary. Incorporated on August 5, 1925, Martin County was formed from portions of northern Palm Beach County and southern St. Lucie County.

This county was proudly named after John Wellborn Martin, the 24th Governor of Florida, whose vision and leadership played a pivotal role in shaping the state’s early development.
