THE SEACREST CORRIDOR PLAN: STAKEHOLDER WORKSHOP

Designing a Safer, More Connected Seacrest Boulevard

The Seacrest Corridor Plan took an important step forward during a recent meeting held at Boynton Beach City Hall, where the project team presented initial concepts to officials from Palm Beach County, the City of Boynton Beach, the Palm Beach TPA, and other stakeholders

Future Improvements Focused on Walkability, Access, and Design

The discussion focused on ways to improve safety, mobility, and access along Seacrest Boulevard from Woolbright Road to Boynton Beach Boulevard.

Key priorities that came to light from the meeting include the addition of a multi-use path on the east side to support future development, enhanced pedestrian crossing with refuge islands and flashing beacons, and the exploration of a multi-lane roundabout at 1st Avenue to improve circulation.

What’s Next

The project team will refine the Seacrest Corridor Plan based on stakeholder’s feedback from the meeting. This includes developing detailed conceptual designs, evaluating options for side street adjustments, and incorporating safety features such as school zone upgrades. The team will also prepare the next phase of public engagement, where updated concepts will be shared with the broader community to gather input for the proposed improvements.
